Global Episcopal Mission (GEM) Workshops Announced

The Global Episcopal Mission Network will offer learning opportunities, including workshops specific to its "Formation of Diocesan Mission Agents" program, at next year's Everyone, Everywhere World Mission Conference. These workshops will be a part of over 30 different workshops and learning experiences at the event.
GEM Network has developed the following workshops for the church-wide world mission conference Everyone, Everywhere to be held June 5-8 in Baltimore at The Conference Center at The Maritime Institute. While some of the workshops are specific requirements for GEM's "Formation of Diocesan Mission Agents" program, all workshops offered by the GEM Network will be open to all conference registrants.
GEM workshop offerings will include:
Mission Team Organization - Dr. Robert Stevens, Executive Director of Dominican Development Group and former missionary with the Dominican Episcopal Church.
The Role of Dioceses in Global Mission Engagement - The Rev. William Wood, President, The Global Episcopal Mission Network (GEM)
Christian Mission and Islam - (presenter to be determined)
Effective Mission Team Communication - Gini Peterson, Coordinator, the GEM Certificate Progarm: Formation of Diocesan Mission Agents, Immediate Past-President of the Global Episcopal Mission (GEM) Network Board of Directors, and Chair of the Global Mission Committee of the Diocese of Atlanta.
The Millennium Development Goals and Grass Roots Mission - Buck Blanchard, Diocese of Virginia Missioner for World Mission
In addition to these dynamic workshops, the conference will also host:
- Global Episcopal Mission Network Board Meeting on Thursday morning, June 5.
- "Formation of Diocesan Mission Agents"/The GEM Network Certificate Program on Thursday, June 5 3:30-6:30pm.
- Global Episcopal Mission Network Annual Meeting on Friday, June 6, 3:30-6:30pm.
